TYPES OF DENTURESComplete and Partial.

Partial Dentures are applied over some missing teeth with bases made up of plastic or metal to support the affected gum line. They are used to avoid the re-positioning of other teeth and jaw lines due to the missing teeth. These temporary dentures keep the teeth intact until a permanent solution is acquired.

Complete Dentures are applied overall missing teeth. These removable dentures are made of plastic that covers the entire set of missing teeth like a horseshoe.

TIPS TO TAKE CARE OF DENTURES

  • Keep dentures clean. Brush your dentures with a non-abrasive brush regularly. If you have partial dentures, you can remove them after a meal to wash them with water.
  • Make sure to soak your dentures with water at night after removing them. This ensures good oral hygiene.
  •  Avoid biting hard solid food with front dentures.
